The Language Precision Engine.

A senior language strategist for Claude. Sharpens the sentence that has to land.

Six precision drills adapted from the Meta-Model of Bandler and Grinder. Four sequential approval gates including a non-negotiable Voice Profile lock. This is the skill you run on the line that already exists but isn't landing yet. Headlines, hero copy, subject lines, CTAs, taglines, opening lines, presentation heros. The unit of work is the sentence.

Pair with the Hook Engine (generates the opener) or the Copy Engine (writes the body). This skill is the surgery on the line, not the draft of it.

Your brief

Sharpen these three sentences from our sales page:

1. "We provide innovative solutions for modern businesses."

2. "Our platform helps teams work better together."

3. "Get started today and transform your workflow."

Skill outputdeliverable

**Sentence 1**

*Original:* "We provide innovative solutions for modern businesses."

*Diagnosis:* Three deleted referents (innovative — compared to what? solutions — what exactly? modern businesses — which ones?). Zero claim the reader can verify or disagree with. Reads as filler.

*Rewrite:* "We cut the manual steps between your CRM and your invoicing tool. Setup takes one afternoon."

*What changed:* A specific action replaces an abstraction. A time claim gives the reader a way to test the promise.

---

**Sentence 2**

*Original:* "Our platform helps teams work better together."

*Diagnosis:* "Better together" is a nominalization — it names a state without describing a mechanism. The reader can't see what changes.

*Rewrite:* "Fewer status meetings. Everyone sees the same project board, updated in real time."

*What changed:* Outcome replaces abstraction. Two concrete images replace one vague one.

---

**Sentence 3**

*Original:* "Get started today and transform your workflow."

*Diagnosis:* "Transform" is the most overused verb on the internet. "Get started today" adds false urgency with no reason to act now.

*Rewrite:* "Connect your first tool in under three minutes. No dev needed."

*What changed:* A specific time claim replaces empty urgency. "No dev needed" removes the reader's primary objection in five words.

This is a trimmed sample. The full skill runs six Meta-Model precision drills and gates every rewrite through a Voice Profile lock before delivering the final copy.

02how the language strategist works

Five moves. Four gates. Diagnostic before transformation.

The most common failure of AI rewriting is changing the line before diagnosing what's wrong with it. The skill diagnoses first, then transforms.

Gate 1
01Move · Brief

Capture the precision task.

What this line has to do, where it appears, who reads it. Locks the criteria for "landed."

Gate 1.5
1.5Move · Voice

Lock the voice.

Builds or loads the brand's voice fingerprint. Sharpened lines must still sound like the brand, not like generic NLP.

Gate 2
03Move · Diagnose then transform

Name what's wrong. Then rewrite.

Runs the diagnostic drills first (what's vague, abstract, soft, hedged). Then runs transformation drills to fix what was diagnosed.

04Move · Test

Reader test the sharpened line.

Pressure-tests the new version against the original. Confirms the line is sharper without losing meaning.

Gate 3
05Move · Ship

Final precision with rewrite log.

The sharpened line plus a log of what changed and why. So you can learn the pattern, not just copy the output.

03six precision drills

The sentence is the unit. Each drill is a specific surgery.

Six drill drawers. Diagnose drills run first. Transformation drills run after. The skill picks the right combination for the line on the table.

01Drill 01

Diagnose.

Drills for naming what's wrong with the existing line. Vague nouns, abstract verbs, hedged claims, missing specificity, unowned voice.

When the line "feels off" but you can't say why.

02Drill 02

Audit.

Drills for running an existing page or piece of copy through the precision filter. Identifies every soft sentence on the page.

When the whole landing page needs sharpening, not just the hero.

03Drill 03

Recover.

Drills for recovering the lost specificity. Replaces nominalisations with verbs. Replaces abstract adjectives with concrete images.

When the line has been written so many times it's lost its bite.

04Drill 04

Sensory.

Drills for adding sensory specificity. Sight, sound, texture, taste. The kind of detail the reader can picture without effort.

When the line is conceptually clear but emotionally flat.

05Drill 05

Persuade.

Drills for the persuasive shape. The Pattern Interrupt. The Specific Image. The Named Problem. The Implied Authority. Inserted with surgical care, not slathered on.

When the line is honest but doesn't move the reader.

06Drill 06

Transform.

Drills for the rewrite itself. Five sharpened variants. Reasoning behind each. The reader test that confirms the new line lands harder than the old one.

When you're ready to ship and need three or four options to A/B.

04what it produces

Four sequential artefacts. Each one a gate.

Brief. Voice. Rough work with diagnostic and transformation. Final precision with rewrite log.

Output 1

The Precision Brief

The real task, named.

What the line has to do, where it appears, who reads it, the criteria for success. Halts the work.

Voice Profile

The Voice Profile

Locked before rewriting.

Fingerprint of the brand voice. Sharpened lines must still sound like the brand. Non-negotiable.

Output 2

The Rough Work

Diagnostic plus transformation.

What's wrong with the original. Three to five sharpened variants. Reasoning per change. Halts to redirect.

Output 3

The Final Precision

Ready to ship.

The final sharpened line plus a rewrite log so you can learn the pattern. Plus the reader-test result.

05how it talks back

Diagnostic first. Transformation second.

Sharpen this hero line: "We help SaaS companies grow faster with innovative AI solutions."
claude · The Language Precision Engine
Before I rewrite, I want to name what's wrong. Five precision faults on one line, which is why it doesn't land: 1. "Help" is the softest verb in marketing English. Useless. 2. "SaaS companies" is a category, not a buyer. Who inside the company? 3. "Grow faster" is a goal everyone shares. Specifies nothing. 4. "Innovative" is a banned word. It signals "we couldn't think of anything specific." 5. "AI solutions" is a 2024 ChatGPT cliché. Five faults on a 12-word line. Almost the whole sentence is filler. I need two things before I rewrite. The Precision Brief (who's reading this, on what page, what action do they take after?) and the Voice Profile (drop 3-5 lines you've published that you're proud of, or I'll build the profile with you in 6 questions). Send both, I'll come back with three sharpened variants plus the rewrite log.
